Acting on the recommendations of the NPM, the Border Police of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) has taken measures to improve efficiency and uniform treatment in all parts of the state border of the Republic of Serbia and competent organizational units of the regional and local level is directly delivered to the appropriate instructions and guidelines for dealing with specific cases.
In accordance with the recommendation relating to taking measures within the jurisdiction of the MOI to misdemeanor impunity refugees, Regional Centre of Border Police towards Hungary shall consult with the President of the Magistrate's Court in Subotica in order to harmonize the unique treatment of the mentioned persons in the future. In order to further harmonize the practices of police officers Management of MOI will conduct a planning control and instructive activity. It also launched the procedure for the purchase of additional vehicles for the Department of Border Police for Foreigners, combating illegal migration and human trafficking of Police Department in Kikinda.
The Ombudsman is carrying out the work of the National Mechanism for Prevention of Torture (NPM) in September 2015, visited the Regional Centre of Border Police towards Hungary, Police Department in Subotica police station in Kanjiža and centers for social work in Subotica and Kanjiza.
