About 60 migrants, mostly unaccompanied minors, Commissariat for Refugees and Migration transferred to Krnjańća Asylum Center, where they will be medically treated and placed in appropriate conditions. Migrants have volunteered for the relocation from the barracks and the whole procedure was carried out without incidents and with full respect for the rights of migrants.

This action is in line with the recommendation of the National preventive mechanism, addressed in the Report on the visit to informal venues in Belgrade at which refugees and migrants have been rallying from 10. August 2016, that the competent authorities without delay need to take measures to accommodate the migrants in the state facilities (asylum and reception centres). Announcements of the competent authorities that started activities will be continued in the following period are encouraging.

Bearing in mind the weather conditions, the lives of migrants residing in the hangars are threatened. National preventive mechanism considers that the Republic of Serbia should immediately institutionally dispose all the migrants and that the freedom of choice of migrants is less important than their survival, physical and psychological integrity and dignity.
