Pančevo District Prison has taken a series of measures to improve documenting of injuries of inmates who are in this Prison. Acting on the recommendations of the NPM, a doctor provide more detailed description of injuries inflicted as a consequence of implementation of coercive measures and submits periodical written report about medical condition of persons deprived of their liberty to the head of the Prison, and the separate records about injuries is established. Also, all prisoners undergo a medical examination on admission to the Prison upon their return from a temporary absence.

In addition, Security Service members are trained in first aid and CPR, programs for control of aggressive behaviour in treatment programs for convicted persons are introduced and all detainees are issued confirmations about written mail handed over to the officials of the Prison. Also, The Directorate for Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions informed the Ombudsman that a tender offer for the purchase of new uniforms for Security services members, which they have not received since 2012, will be announced in May of 2017.

NPM visited Pančevo District Prison on 21 February of 2017, in order to monitor implementation of the recommendations from the visit to the Prison conducted in 2013. and the recommendations made by the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) to the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
