National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) on 23 March 2015, conducted a visit to the Police Department in Kraljevo to determine the treatment of persons deprived of their liberty, asylum seekers and irregular migrants. On the same day, the NPM team visited the District Prison in Kraljevo in order to monitor the treatment of persons deprived of their liberty according to the recommendations addressed to mentioned institution in the Report from 2013.

NPM team on 12 February, according to the established methodology, continued the visit of Penal Correctional Institution Pozarevac-Zabela.

NPM team, on 11 February 2015, conducted an an evening (unannounced) visit to Penal Correctional Institution Pozarevac-Zabela, afterwards, an midnight (unannounced) visit to the Police Department in Pozarevac. The aim of these unannounced visits was to determine the regularity and legality of the work of these institutions in respect of the rights of persons deprived of their liberty. During these visits, the institutions administrations and all the officials met in the institutions were fully cooperative with the NPM monitoring team, enabling the team members to perform their duty unhindered.

NPM team, on 5th February 2015, conducted a visit to the Special Prison Hospital to determine the regularity and legality of this institution in respect of the rights of persons deprived of their liberty.

National Preventive Mechanism visited  Valjevo Police Department and the Center for asylum in Bogovadja on 17th of November in 2014.Visits were conducted in order to monitor the treatment according to the recommendations of the Ombudsman in order to improve the position of asylum seekers and irregular migrants in the Republic of Serbia.
